the project

Jones Sports was contracted to help design and build the new multi-media decorative façade elements that would create a new look for the Wells Fargo Center, home of the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers. The project included a series of horizontal aluminum strut modules, pixel-controlled LED lighting and LED displays on each of the four corners of the arena. Our team worked closely with SCI Architect’s team during the pre-construction phase to refine materials selection, and construction methodology and continuously provided input on projected costs and collaborated with Walter P. Moore to finalize the engineering of the project. Our design-engineering staff designed the strut modules in large sections (averaging 8’ x 22’) that were fabricated in our Green Bay Location. Our team engineered and built the steel structure supporting the LED displays complete with catwalk system. And our technology engineering staff recommended and commissioned the programmable pixel-controlled Clear LED X-bar.
