The Challenge
Churchill Downs was planning an extremely large LED display in the paddock area of this world famous horse racing venue. Jones Sports was awarded the contract to design, fabricate, and install both the video board and the structure to support it. The challenge came in safely installing the structure right next to the historic stables and barns that house prize-winning horses. Our team was challenged to install the project while maneuvering around the stables.
The Solution
Jones Sports provided engineering, electrical specifications, project management, and installation of the steel support structure and 4K video board. We drew on our experience with high-rise installations to rein in disruptions and navigate the stable area without disturbing the horses.
